The Soft Landing--the site that offers products that are BPA free, has a blog where they put up info about new products and all things related to children about BPA free and such. Anyways, they are having a contest and giving away a free Safe Sippy cup. Whoohoo! These sippy cups are supposed to keep drinks cold or hot, whichever you choose to put in. For me, that is a plus, since Lena can't drink regular milk, and it would help for when I have to take her soymilk with us. So, go the the link up above to the Soft Landing Blog, and check it out. 4th of July at the Lake

We had a fun 4th of July weekend with my (April) side of the family. Lena made cupcakes with her cousins for her 15 yr. old cousin Mitch's birthday, and even tried to eat one right away. When she wasn't following her cousins all over the place, she was at the playground or relaxing in a hammock. She even got to ring the dinner bell once. We had a great time, even though the whole family wasn't there. Lena enjoyed going fishing and riding on the jet skii. I did get her in the lake for a little swimming, but I don't have a picture of that since I was in the water with her. There are a lot of pictures here in several posts of our time at the lake during our 4th of July weekend. I had fun following Lena around and taking pictures.

Here are some of the fireworks we saw out over the lake. It made for a fun challenge trying to take pictures of fireworks.

Lena followed her cousins everywhere! She was the youngest one there, but it didn't seem to bother her. Her cousins were sweet and stopped to play with her every once in a while.

Daddy took Lena on her first jet skii ride. She seemed to enjoy it and didn't cry at all.
She also went fishing with Daddy and together they caught her first fish. She liked it so
much, she decided to try it on her own. Of course she didn't catch anything else, but she still had fun.

Mini Vacation

This week, Lena and I are in Midland visiting my parents and siblings and their families. I'm also going to dinner with my best friend since childhood. I will post all about our 4th of July and this week when I get back home. Just thought I would update on our whereabouts since it has been a while since posting.
